Our Approach
My Story
Hi! I'm a computational physicist who went onto being a scientific manager, a data scientist at SharpestMinds, and now a Software Engineer at Zeitspace.
Our Story
I completed my Ph.D. in Physics in 2008 at Syracuse University (Go Orange!) under the supervision of Dr. A. Alan Middleton.
My thesis is about a coarse-grained model of collective transport in disordered materials. The model is motivated by the observation of both switching and macroscopic hysteresis in the driven transport of flux liquids (and in charge density waves).
There, I developed my coding skills to conduct numerical simulations. I analyzed and interpreted data using statistical methods and presented results at international professional conferences. I was also a teaching assistant for multiple sections of undergraduate physics and math courses.
After SU, I began my career as a scientific manager at the Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) at Louisiana State University.
At the CCT, I managed $34M worth of multi-university and interdisciplinary grants (LONI Institute, LA-SiGMA, and the CCT REU). There, I coordinated the multiyear research plans, research competitions, meetings, workshops, and outreach activities. I served as chief liaison between the universities, faculty, and students. I developed, supported, and facilitated successful grant proposals as well as developed and implemented application and recruitment processes. I also collected information and cowrote and edited grant reports.
Then, I moved to Waterloo, ON, Canada.
I taught Math 103 - Introductory Algebra for Arts and Social Science for one session at the University of Waterloo.
At the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI), I was a Data Engineer for a project and contributed to new database schema for scientific reporting. I designed data processing pipeline involving both public and in-house databases for government reporting. And now I am a volunteer Machine Learning contractor.
I did a Data Scientist mentorship at SharpestMinds under Dr. Arman Didandeh, who is a Manager at the DSpace Innovation Lab at Deloitte Canada.
I have a couple of projects which you can find under my portfolio.
Zeitspace is a software consultancy that has vast experience building scalable web and mobile applications using a wide variety of technology.
Here, as a Software Engineer, I am working on the frontend and backend of web apps, for companies and for not-for profit organizations' projects, such as the Impact Amplifier of the KWCF.
I also took on the role of a Data Engineer while building a data pipeline for a project that involved cleaning, parsing, and extracting useful information from excel files that had multiple formats.
